... I finally get the blog layout I've wanted for at least eighteen months! Thankyou blogger beta and to myself for the investment of a thumb drive to transfer the pic I'd wanted to put on there forever.

I like it.

Orange is better than green and the pic is ever-so cute and sums up my taste. The pic is a scan of a postcard I have on the door of my old room. Postcards are great when they're not bought to be written on.

Anyhoo, I have no real point to what I'm saying. It's more of a "lookee! I made something pretty!"

Onto big evil corporation news, I'm officially the unofficial boss lady of the department I work in. It's not a hard feat when you're the only girl working in the department and the guys that work there are at best fun to work with, at worst sloppy and sometimes incompetent. My money's on one of them getting fired before their probation period is up.

Because I'm in unofficial boss lady I get to do fun and exciting things like call up Microsoft's Xbox360 call centre in Indiastanlanka a get frustrated at the call centre operator because they won't give me a simple number that I need to get a repair that's been outstanding for almost three months actually repaired and given back to the customer. How hard is it? Really?!

Because of my all-tolled three hours toussle with subcontinental call centres, I learnt two very important things about Windows Vista:

1. Windows Vista no longer has 3D Pinball as one of the free games. However;
2. Windows Vista has Mahjhong as a free game.

How do I know these fascinating nuggets of info? Well, a girl's gotta multitask while on hold, and let's face it, finding two matching green dragon tiles is the best I could come up with.

Tomorrow I have to go through the call centre dramas all over again. I lost the call centre when I went to find an email address. It's a good thing I lost the call centre because I may have had a few choice words to say to call centre lady. As it is, I spent the rest of the day stomping around saying I hate Microsoft call centres. I want to hurt them!

And that was my day. The Chaser's War on everything was on tonight, so that made it all better.
