premonitions of some geishas

Last night, Mandy, Nick and I decided that the best thing we could possibly do on a Monday night would be to spend a good two and half hours watching the epic film Memoirs of a Geisha.

Throughout the film I heard Nick say "That's beautiful!", "It's so beautiful!" or "It really is beautiful" anytime there were sweeping visions of idyllic Japanese life pre-World War II.

He oscillated between saying the above and, "That's creepy!" or "You're a stalker," everytime Sayuri sniffed her hankie in her quest to get closer to The Chairman.

Somewhere in the middle, perhaps in the bit where Sayuri is doing that crazy Madonna in Ray of Light style dance that I said, "You know when we're down in Gracetown, we should have a night where we dress up like geishas!"

The odd thing was that instead of getting replies of "Jess, you're weird!", I got, "Hey, that's not a bad idea - what if we make Adam wear a red kimono to clash with his hair?"

Of the eight or so of us making the trek down to Gracetown for a few days, about half of them are male. So imagine the following guys, with the white powder and bright red lippie:

The lovely Adam - imagine the sexy kimono.

Nick + Brodie - they show potential with those distractive glances

TeeHee!
Take many many many photos.
Imagine the blackmail potential.
Not to mention a photo-board at Adams 21st perhaps...
