Everyday at work, whoever's working on the switchboard does an announcement at just before 9am.
They say which managers are on that day, who has a birthday, how many 'incident free days' we've had. Stuff that sounds very corporate and let's face it, it's just a bit wanky and insincere.
The only sincere part of the whole beginning of the day spiel is at the very end when they say, "Let's have a great day!" They way they say it is identical day after day, but it still motivates you for at least the next five minutes.
So in honour of that sincerity, I have five words for you all:
Let's have a great week!
