thought police has busted in...
Was reading Sabbah's Blog this morning and I found out that Saudi Arabia's governing body for the Internet, the Internet Services Unit, has blocked Saudi Arabians from using Blogger and Flickr. It seems crazy that these people should be denied the right to express themselves. Fair enough, there are some sites on the Internet that just aren't worth people looking at, censor them if you like. But why should a governing body dictate when and how people can express themselves. That's lunacy! Reporters sans frontiers have jumped on the bandwagon and are lobbying for the ban to be lifted. One can only hope it works and the people of Saudi Arabia can blog again.
