I'm inherently sorry that I have neglected to blog for an entire month. Please accept the follow excuses for my lack of writing:
- Work has been crazy. As in CRAZY! They decided to change all of the full-time and part -time contracts in the store. That's about 200 contracts that need to be changed and done for the 15th of April. It ain't gonna happen.
- I housesat my Aunty's place. Meticulous cleaning really took it out of me. Also having my 83-year-old great uncle drink me under the table twice over a weekend while I was there took it out of me. It was great though - I heard stories about World War II.
- I graduated. Yes. I got all dressed up in a marroon gown and blue hood in order to walk across a stage and collect a certificate. If you walked past me in the street, I would have looked like I belonged at Hogwarts,
- I was really depressed after graduating. The kind of "*sniff, sniff* I finished my degree five months ago and I haven't *sniff* gotten a job yet and I'm stuck in a crappy human resources job in a crappy department store" depressed
- Then not two days later, I got a phone call from the ABC asking me to do an interview for two of the jobs I'd applied for.
- Then the next day, another person from the ABC called me about another job interview.
- Then. A travel agency that I'd applied for a job with called me, asking for an interview. I asked then if I could postpone the interview. They ever-so politely obliged.
- I did the first interview with the ABC. It went well. They laughed at my jokes. Then later that day they asked me if I wanted to go to Karratha for two weeks to produce the morning program.
- I said yes.
- I quit my human resources job. My last day is this Thursday. Until then, I'm packing and socialising to make up for the fact that I'll be alone up north for my 22nd birthday
So please accept my exciting story told in point form as my apology for neglecting my space on the internet. I love youse all. Really, I do.
