hallo. knee do you read me?

That's what's running through my head everytime I do oblique crunches at the gym.
What's an oblique crunch? I hear you say.

It's kind of like sit-ups but you cross one leg over your other knee, put one hand on your tummy, the other in line with your temple and then your sit up and twisted towards your crossed leg.

You look like a tool doing it.

But don't worry, I didn't know what an oblique crunch was before I joined the gym either.

Everyday you do something that hurts more than the other day.

Today it would happen that my buttocks are hurting.

And it's all the fault of the 'Wednesday morning old guy' (how bad is that, I don't know his name). Just for clarification, there's a 'wednesday morning nice old guy' and a 'wednesday morning grumpy old guy'.

Aaaaaaaaaanyhoo. Wednesday morning nice old guy suggested that I use the 'random hill' setting instead of the manual setting on the cycle machine.

Bad idea.

It simulates riding a bike up a hill. I rode really fast through the hill bits just to get through it. It was not a pleasant experience, but I'll probably do it again just for the fun/excitement of it all.

But damn, my backside hurts!
