Yesterday was a very scary day for me. I became momentarily fixated by lawn bowls. You see, I was at my grandparents' house and they had the Commonwealth Games on TV. It was the women's pairs semi-final - a cross-Tasman battle between Australia and New Zealand. It wasn't the game itself that made me captivated. It was the way each team played the game. Maybe it says something for each respective nation. The two Australia women were carrying on like pork chops, 'Come on Kaz! A bit further, you can do it!'. They made right fools of themselves. The New Zealanders, who were sisters, were giving each other little signals and nods. Whatever they decided to do, they decided quietly.
The pork chops won the match in a tie-break. I'm not too sure whether they deserved to. Either way they're guaranteed of a medal - they're in the final against Scotland this arvo.
Care factor - 0.
