this is patriotism

Today is:
a) Australia Day
b)Yobbo Day
c)Fireworks Day

Take your pick, they'd all be pretty accurate descriptions for the 26th of January. It's the kind of day where it's ok to have Australian flags draped on your car as well as your body.

So in honour of the day that Captain James Cook:
a) landed on, or
b) invaded Australian soil
I have compiled a list of patriotic things to do for Australia Day

1. Vote for JJJ's Hottest 100
2. Listen to aforementioned JJJ Hottest 100. Loudly. For example, I don't need to have my radio on because the neighbours are playing it loud enough for me to listen as well. That's what we like to call mateship.
3. Eat some form of charcoalated food.
4. Drink some form of alcoholic substance, preferably Australian.
5. Watch fireworks from your vantage point of choice.
6. Listen to Mix94.5 for the one and only time in the year because they play the crazy soundtrack to go with it.
7. Wear an Australian flag.
8. Bag out another country.

So there you have it, Australia Day, Milchfrommler-style.

By the way, apologies in advance for Australia Day parties that I haven't attended. I got invited to five parties. Mr Nicktastic won out.

Oooh! Must go, Dave Callan's on JJJ. *squeeeeeeee!*

I have two things to say:

1. In the slightly twisted words of Skyhooks: 'Beer is not a dirty word"
2. I like ice cream.

Take what you will.
