What exactly does one do at a baby shower?
Is it just a massive present giving, food eating, drink drinking, girl talking, nail painting event?
Or is there something else to it?
When exactly is it customary to hold a baby shower?
Is it girls only or as Forrest Gump would say, 'boys and girls together'?
Anyone with a clue, you know where the comments go.

Aha! I am a veteran of Baby-Shower organisation. One must play baby themed games such as listing a girl's name and a boy's name starting with every letter of the alphabet in an allocated time. Also the peg game where each guest is given 3 pegs and when a guest sees another guest crossing their legs or ankles the crosser must hand over a peg to the person who spotted them. The guest with the most pegs wins a prize.
Pink and blue themed food is nice and the organiser should send out the invitations on behalf of the mother-to-be along with suggestions for presents which she has cleverly gleaned from the mother-to-be surreptitiously!
This is a grave responsibility young lady, are you up for it? ;-)
