when it rains it pours...

I've just about finished uni for the year so I went out on my job hunting expedition. Last week was part one of 'Jess vs. the big nasty pedantic corporation'.
Yesterday was part one of 'Jess vs. the cheesy radio station promotions team'.

Yesterday's interview was kind of funny. Here's some of the dialogue from said interview:

Interviewer: Can you tow things on the back of a car?
Jess: Uh... no. But I can learn!
I: Yep and can you change a tyre?
Jess sits and looks confused for two seconds because she thinks she said 'can you change attire?'
J: Sorry?
I: Can you change a tyre?
J: Oh! Ok. No.
I: Right. In summer we do some activities using boats and stuff. Can you drive a boat?
J: Yes! Yes I can!

So that looks promising... maybe... I think.

Part two of 'Jess vs. the big nasty pedantic corporation' started today. I got a phone call at 9ish which woke me up (I know what you're thinking, 'Slacker, she's still in bed a 9!' But you didn't have to take your significant other to work at 4.30am). It was the big nasty pedantic corporation's 'recruitment centre'. They told me that I had an interview at their Garden City store. Was Friday at 2.30pm ok? I said 'yeah, that's fine.' It's kind of half fine. Friday is Adam's other day off, he likes my full attention (or as much as my full attention that I can give on post-sparkling shiraz hangover - won't be drinking this Friday morning!). May I just reiterate that if you wake me up with a phone call trying to organise something, I will more than likely say yes to whatever you ask just so I can get back to sleep. So Adam, darling, love of my life - profound apologies are coming your way.

It'd be odd if I got both jobs. A nice little juggling act. But truth be told, I'm angling for another job all together... these two might steal time from that little endeavour.
