thanksgiving

Yesterday we had Thanksgiving dinner. Stuff like that kind of happens when you have an American in the house. We had a lamb roast sans gravy which kind of sucked specifically because of the whole no gravy thing and maybe because it wasn't turkey but turkey is just overrated chicken anyway. We found out that Thanksgiving is all about American Indians teaching the pilgrims how to do really useful stuff like making food. Yeah, I'd be thankful too. There were seven of us, the six usual suspects plus Caveman's friend Chris.

Dinner wasn't the cool thing. But what happened after dinner was.

We played Trivial Pursuit, complete with huge bowl of lollies (read: sugar overload).
Adam had to retire due to sickness, half an hour later, I retired due to extreme tiredness. So I don't know who won, but I get the sneaking suspicion it was Caveman because he was in the lead when I went to bed.

I've come to the conclusion that big holidays aren't really about what you eat, it's more about what you do once you've eaten.
