Since Tuesday at 12.53pm, the following things have happened:
*I recorded the aformentioned radio play. It's one of those recording sessions that you could use the audio to hold people to ransom. Mwah. Ha. Ha. Claire brought a cask of chateau cardboard with her and she was the only one who drank it. Oddly enough, she did a reasonable job.
*Wednesday morning, I had an interview at that evil giant corporation Coles Myer. It was your typical Coles Myer group interview (come on, who hasn't done one of them?). I got through to the bit where they take you aside and get your availibility and check your references. They wouldn't take my references from volunteer work. The last time someone legitimately paid me to be their slave was back in 2002. And the kind folk at Jesters made it very clear that they did not give out references. So what was I left to do? Fax through my year twelve report. Never mind the fact that year twelve was THREE YEARS AGO and it was a totally different time, place and attitude. Doesn't the fact that you've spent the majority of your year WORKING FOR NOTHING say more about your character and attitude than a BLOODY YEAR TWELVE REPORT FROM THREE YEARS AGO?
* I had my sound tute in which a friend and I planned to go and play air hockey and busk with kazoos.
* Then I helped out at Kat's work, converting pictures and stuff. Basically clicking 'OK' every 20 seconds for three hours straight.
* Oooh! Oooh! Then I tutored my year twelve girl and finally she wrote a really good essay the way that I told her to go about it! Will wonders never cease. If only she'd listened to me in May.
* Although Wednesday evening was hardly barbequeing weather, that's what we did and that where this disgusting story stems from. No more shall be said.
*Thursday had a French test which was scary but really not that scary.
* Avril made sloppy joes for dinner. We came to the conclusion that American food is good. Good but incredibly filling.
*Adam and I went to the movies. Being the nerd that I was, I wanted to see Enron. I know nothing about business, accounting, economics, etc. I think that's why I wanted to see it. The demise of Enron was a pretty massive event in recent history and I didn't want to be ignorant of it. I wanted to know what people were going on about when they talked about it. It was a mentally tiring experience.
*This morning was work experience morning. For some odd reason it was also our busiest morning ever. So many callers, so few went to air.
* I almost fell asleep on the bus coming home.
