back to normality

Last week was a bit of a shocker at the place where I do work experience. You can read about that shemozzle here and here.

Today I walked in at 8am to find the presenter and the regular producer there.
One of the first things the presenter said to me was, 'We're both hungover.'
Of course, I was wondering what on earth both of them were doing drunk on a Thursday night(I'm not saying you can't get drunk on a Thursday but anecdotal evidence suggests that Friday, Saturday or Sunday (if you a Sunday Sesh kinda person - blergh!) are the days to get drunk). The producer went to a friend's place who had a balcony. And what do you do if you have a friend with a balcony on a sunny Perth spring day? Drink beer! Fair enough.

The presenter spent three hours after yesterday's show having a schmoozy lunch with a car company who wants to do a deal with them. He already drives a better car than they're offering. After that, he went home to do his column for the weekend newspaper. He needed some wine so he 'wouldn't get dehydrated'. After that a friend of his from a winery came over with some of his wares. It was all over by them.

So that's how they both came to be hungover on a mundane Friday morning and I was tired from watching a chick flick with my mum the night before.

Some people have all the luck.

Apart from that, everything went well and happy and stuff. I had fun. No more dirty mild ethical crises.
